All you need to make this easy candy cane craft with your preschooler is: red & white craft fuzzy sticks & pony beads.
Put one pony bead on the stick and wrap about an inch of stick around the bead and the stick several times to secure it tight. Then let your preschooler create a candy cane.
Take a look at those awesome fine motor skills!!
I encouraged using a pattern. Some of the older children (3 & 4 year olds) chose to use a red/white pattern, while the younger ones did their own thing.
Leave about an inch at the end to wrap around the final bead. Shape the stick into the letter C, then shape it into a candy cane to decorate the Christmas tree!
